Jackie’s Jazz and Social Justice

What do you do when you have interests in both Jazz and Social Justice?

Combine them!!

That is exactly what Jackie Bornstein has done to her passions of singing Jazz and supporting Social Justice, subjects she knows intimately after she completed her MPhil and MA Thesis examining the role of arts and music in resolving conflicts and promoting expressive and listening capacities.

In Jackie’s Jazz and Social Justice project she features stories and songs by artists who demonstrate the range of social justice issues from the 1930’s through to today.

Jackie is kicking off 2022 with a series of shows across her various projects, including this one at the Hawthorn Arts Centre on February 25, 2022.
