The Melbourne International Jazz Festival‘s Take Note Jazz Leader for 2023 is Melbourne based Sax player, comnposer and band leader Cheryl Durongpisitkul.
Cheryl spoke of the thrill of being commisioned to write a large work and to have it performed at the MIJF festival this year, and the opportunity provided for Cheryl to mentor and educate students across schools in Victoria during the year.
