Tamara Kuldin chatted with David Moyle on Bent Notes about her latest album – This May Only Be A Dream, an album of 11 pieces – three of which are self-composed by Tamara. The title comes from the lyrics for “For All We Know”.
Tamara recalls that she was introduced to the Golden Era of Song by movie critic Bill Collins introducing the midday movies on television – movies where these songs played a large part.
It was a time when Tamara believes that people took pleasure in the simplicity of story-telling through song, the romantic lilt and technicolor dream time of song, perhaps even – the Pop Songs of the day.
Tamara’s latest album – her fourth, is entitled This May Only Be A Dream, and features a painting by her father as the very beautiful coverart in the styling of Monet.
A great band featuring Sam Keevers (Piano), Jon Delaney and Nathan Slater (Guitars), Tamara Murphy (Double Bass), Steve Grant (Trumpet & Accordian), Julien Wilson (Tenor Sax) and Danny Fischer (Drums).
Tamara Kuldin was guest of Bent Notes on Sunday March 15, 2020
