Melbourne trumpet player and educator Daimon Brunton visited the Bent Notes studio to chat about his brand new album from his Quintet – The Chunky Biscuit.
Daimon spoke about starting his instrumental experiences on the Piano at age 4, before taking on the trumpet at age 10 and finding that he could be so much more expressive using pitch bend, growl, and half valve notes.
The album came together during lockdowns in Melbourne from a concept to finely developed music which went straight to the Rolling Stock Recording Rooms when lockdowns were eased and the studio was available.
Checkout the full album, and Daimon’s other works, on Bandcamp, and keep up to date with Daimon on his website or social media.
