Checkpoint Intimates is a weekly podcast where two members of the team go one-on-one on a topic that they both feel strongly about, talking in a more deeper and, yes, intimate context.

While they don’t seem to impact us as a consumer that much, the amount that a console sells internationally can have a massive impact on plans for the future, including coming generations and the types of games that are developed.

What do these figures mean for consumers and third party developers? How do certain markets (like video game capital of the world Japan) impact the way consoles are perceived on a worldwide level?
