Interview: Colin Penty from The Coalition

In this special interview, Luke had the opportunity to speak with Colin Penty, Technical Art Director from development team The Coalition who recently released Gears 5.

Gears 5 is a massive step forward for the popular Xbox franchise. With big open levels, a visual style that separates it from the vision of the past games in the series and a stunning attention to detail, Luke reviewed the game recently and called it “the most comprehensive and exciting Gears experience so far.”

Luke talks with Colin about The Coalition and their vision for creating Gears 5, what it was like tackling such a large franchise, evolving it to be something exciting and different while still keeping what makes it special. He also talks about the characters of the game, including female protagonist Kait and the rest of her crew.
