Play On! AFL All Stars Women’s Game & 100 years of history

Fi, Bree and Danae chat about the ground breaking AFL Women’s Game played between Western Bulldogs and Melbourne on 3 September 2016.  The All Stars game is the latest in a long and rich history of competition as Brunette Lenkic reveals in Play On! The Hidden History of Women’s Australian Rules Football. 

Last weekend saw the Western Bulldogs/Melbourne Women’s AFL All Stars match draw a massive national TV audience of more than a million people.  The game … which was fantastic … was played at Whitten Oval in front of a crowd of more than six thousand people … and if you think that is the biggest crowd to ever watch women play Australian Rules football … you haven’t yet read Play On!
