He started his life in El Salvador in Central America and moved to Australia as a young refugee in the 1980s where he has become particularly renowned for his successful work on the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Sydney Olympics, Opera Australia and films such as Moulin Rouge and the Matrix. Here Rene shares his powerful story.
