INTERVIEW: Jason Marriner talks “Harry Potter & The Cursed Child”, “Come From Away” and Theatre Refurbishments in Melbourne

David & Sue talk to Jason Marriner, CEO of the Marriner Group which is the family company responsible for four of Melbourne’s beautiful heritage theatres: The Regent Theatre, Princess Theatre, Comedy Theatre and Forum Theatre. Jason’s involvement in the business started 25 years ago behind the bar at the Princess Theatre, before moving onto programming and management roles within the company. Marriner Group’s ambition is to grow Melbourne’s theatre audience by presenting the best theatrical attractions possible within its theatres and to be good custodians of Melbourne’s unique heritage theatre assets.

He talks about the upcoming refurbishments of two of the theatres plus the two big productions which are coming in 2019 – “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child” and “Come from Away“. You can read more about the upcoming shows and productions and book tickets at The Marriner Group website.
