Born in late 2024 after more than 30 players and staff took a stand against inequity, disrespect and unsafe conditions, this group didn’t just walk away — they built something better.
A club grounded in safety, respect, inclusion and community.
A space where women and gender-diverse players can show up, compete hard and play on their terms — with dignity and pride.
Despite strong opposition, the Wedge-Tailed Eagles have stayed focused on one clear goal: fair access, equal footing and a future.
This is a story about courage, community and carving out space in the game we love.
