With the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games looming, serious questions are being raised over the welfare of gay and lesbian athletes in Russia, after President Vladimir Putin signed anti-gay laws into legislation. The IOC had previously reassured their athletes that the laws would not affect them, however the politician who presented the bill in the Russian parliament says the government doesn’t have the right to suspend the law.
Former Olympic medallist, and ENUF Campaign ambassador Ji Wallace joins us to discuss the situation.
