In December 2012 the Australian Government released its National LGBTI Ageing and Aged Care Strategy. This panel provided an opportunity to discuss what’s contained in the strategy and how it can be used to address LGBTI issues within the aged care sector. Comprised of LGBTI, aged care and Government representatives, the panel highlighted practical opportunities from the strategy for aged care providers, LGBTI organisations and older LGBTI people. Panelists will each make opening remarks followed by a question and answer session with conference delegates.

- Carol Lantus, Department of Health and Ageing
- Anneke Deutsch, Matrix Guild
- Catherine Barrett, ARCSHC/GLHV
