HACC Diversity planning and practice is a strategic population planning initiative that supports and encourages HACC service delivery that is responsive to and respectful of the specific characteristics of the person seeking services. Each Department of Health region and all HACC funded organizations (approximately 500) in Victoria are required to submit a three year HACC Diversity Plan with annual reviews. A practice guide was developed to assist organisations in the process. The practice guide includes a section on LGBTI, including strategies to consider for improved HACC service responses to our communities.
