Xposé: Curators Queer Culture

For more than 15 years, partners in business and life, Rowland Thompson and Crusader Hillis have owned and operated Melbourne’s legendary Queer Bookshop, Hares & Hyenas. Champions of both the performing and visual arts, these two mild-mannered gents have mentored many young artists, encouraging them to go public with there work. The guys continue to devote much of their energy to the GLBTI community and the arts, often combining both, like they have with Melbourne Leather Pride this year. We explore their life and times and what lays ahead for Melbourne’s curators of all things Queer.
