Xposé: Kabi, The Mardi Gras Magician!

Dean and James talk to the man who, for the last 20 years, has been responsible for some of the most memorable award-winning entries in Sydney’s Mardi Gras Parade; The Surry Hillsong Church, The Kate Moss Line Dancers, Dick van Dykes on Bikes, Cher and the USS Missouri, Cussons Imperial Leather Pride, The Happy Little Sodomites, Karma Kleaners and The Only Gay in the Village (which Dean participated in 2005). Kabi, a 6’3″ redhead with a Japanese name, truly is The Mardi Gras Magician and the founder of Ethel Yarwood Enterprises, a very different Community Art Project based on the philosophy of the permanence of disposable art.

This show, Episode #045 originally aired in November, 2009
