Ep 150 – We’re A Winner, Baby

Oh, did we mention? We are winners!

We were so chuffed to be the recipients of the 2023 Addam Stobbs Award for Broadcasting Excellence at the JOY AGM!

Addam was a longtime presenter of Allegro Non Troppo at JOY until his passing in 2010 and this award is named for him.

At a time when our community is attacked, called groomers and pedophiles by hate commentators simply for daring to be their authentic selves- it’s truly an honour for us to be able to have the trust of JOY to present a show on broadcast radio about queer sex. Our sex lives form an important part of our lives, and queer pleasure is something we’ll fight tooth and nail to celebrate. So, thank you to the entire team at JOY for acknowledging us this year. Most imortantly, thank you to all our amazing guests who have candidly shared their thoughts and often intimate personal experiences of sex. Here we have a really quick reflection on the night and winning the award.

Don’t worry, the real episode for this week is coming tomorrow.

This episode was recorded on the lands of the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung peoples. We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
