JOY listeners may remember comedian Annie Louey from her weekly segment on Annie & Ando where she ate over 150 flavours of potato chips as part of an on air segment, proving she’ll do anything for comedy. Annie joined Rach and Dean on JOY Breakfast to talk about her Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, ‘Annie Louey : GOLD’.
This year, it’s all about brand new, tightlycrafted jokes, and crowd work that will set the room on fire. Not literally, as she is also a burn survivor and that would be terribly inappropriate. Annie is about to turn 30, which means she’s spent half her life performing comedy. She was a Class Clowns National Finalist and is now mentoring the next generation of comedians, so she knows what’s she doing and we loved having her join us on the show.
Catch Annie this Comedy Festival, or cohosting China Tonight on ABC TV.
‘Annie Louey drew one of the biggest laughs of the night.’ – The Age (2022 MICF Allstars Supershow)
‘Confident, charismatic and instantly likeable.’ – ArtsHub (OzAsia Comedy Show)
‘Absolutely brillant.’ – The Age (Annie Louey is Flirting with Death)
