It’s Monday so that means it’s time for this week’s Gossip Gay with Joel King Mayne. Years & Years star Olly Alexander gets Madame Tussauds wax figure. Olly Alexander has expressed his “shock” at being the latest star to be immortalised at London’s iconic wax figure museum, Madame Tussauds.

From October, the wax model of the singer will stand alongside a legion of other queer music legends at the London tourist attraction, including Freddie Mercury, Miley Cyrus & David Bowie.
We also dive into the controversy of Straight Actors who’ve won Academy awards for Queer roles.
Hollywood loves queer stories, but apparently not queer actors.

While we love seeing LGBTQ+ narratives on screen, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that a lot of film and television’s most well-known & awarded queer roles more often than not go to non-queer actors.

It’s a step in the right direction to see more and more LGBTQ+ stories, but we still have a long, long way to go when it comes to representation.
