In just a few weeks, Australians will have their say in a referendum about changing the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
Here at JOY, we’re speaking with a wide variety of people around the community especially those in regional and remote areas of the country, and Dave and Dean were very grateful to be joined by Mililma May, CEO and co-founder of Uprising of the People, also known as Up, a non-for-profit advocacy organisation based on Kulumbirigin country in Darwin.
We find out why Mililma, who was originally voting NO, is now voting YES.
