Zoos Victoria has launched a citizen science project called Moth Tracker, where everyone can get involved to track the migration of Bogong Moths, a key spring food source for the critically endangered Mountain Pygmy-possum.
The possum is Australia’s only hibernating marsupial and Zoos Victoria Senior Conservation Biologist, Dr Marissa Parrott joined Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast (even with Rach’s fear of Moths) to tell them all about it.
Keep track of the moths you find via the Moth Tracker Website at www.mothtracker.swifft.net.au
