Singer, songwriter Katie Noonan has had had a successful solo career exploring indie music, jazz and more, but in 1997 founded the jazz group Elixir who release their fourth album today – ‘A small shy truth’.
With a launch Saturday as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, ‘A small shy truth’ is based on the poetry of Melbourne born and based on poet and cartoonist Michael Leunig.
Elixir is joined by a bevy of jazz musicians for the album and Katie joins Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast to tell them all about it.
