Yesterday was set to be Shepparton Library’s drag story time event with Frock Hudson for the Out in the Open festival, however a small group of hateful protestors stormed the library and harassed staff leading up to the event forcing the council to officially cancel the event. BUT…Our community is stronger than the hate toward the council and decided to go ahead with the event outside the Library with Hundreds showing up to support this inclusive, family-friendly event and no protesters.
The event was a huge success and shows that when community get together, love always wins.
