Trans Joy & Top Surgery with Alexander & Fenn

This past week Rach & Dean have noticed that gender affirming surgery (also known as top surgery) has been popping up in the news. From a mural on the side of a Costa Coffee Van depicting a person with top surgery scars, to a queer artist designing a pair of Doc Martins for themself with trans people on them showing their scars as well. 

Of course, when stories like this hit the news, it’s often not seen or shared in the most favourable light, and then used to fan transphobic flames online.

So, we thought it would be nice to round out the week on JOY Breakfast with some trans joy ,as we learn a bit more about top surgery at the same time. 

We were joined on JOY by Alexander (who has gone through top surgery) & Fenn (who is currently preparing for top surgery), who are also known as drag entertainers Alexander McKween & Grendel.
