The very first memoir of its kind to be written in Australia, ‘Not Like Other Dads’ follows a gay man as he navigates the heterosexual parenting world, documenting first-hand what happens when the parenting script – 300,000 years in the making – simply doesn’t apply. To many, Sean Szeps is “the dad on Instagram who often goes viral”. But he’s more than a creator. He’s also an award-winning podcast host, a well-known parenting writer and a comedian who, uncharacteristically for a father, is gay. And Sean joined Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast to dive into just why he is not like other dads.
