David Hunt interviews Sally Gray, curator of the current NGV exhibition by David Mc Diarmid “When This You See Remember Me“. David died of AIDS in the 90s and Sally has worked tirelessly to bring this exhibition to the NGV. McDiarmid was a gay rights activist and his art reflected this, coving so much: craft, fashion, music, sex, gay liberation. He even designed a couple of Sydney’s Mardi Gras posters!
