Welcome to the 2nd hour of the 20th Melbourne Pride March which was broadcast from Fitzroy Street, St Kilda. Pride is held every year in February, as part of the Midsumma Festival, which showcases the multitude of different Cultural, Artistic and Social aspects of Melbourne’s Rainbow communities.
So come join in the celebrations with our 2015 pride broadcast team Katie, Patrick, Dean, Ginni, Emma, Steph, Leo and Michael as we celebrate all that is our colourfully diverse rainbow and allied communities. This year is a particularly special year, as we mark the 20th anniversary of pride (the first one being held back in 1996).
If you’d like to hear more about the fascinating stories of the last 20 years of Pride March; we encourage you to check out the special 20th anniversary retrospective podcast, where we take a look back, speak to those who were there & explore where it all got started, how it has evolved and where Pride is heading.
