Purple Bombers Kick Off

On the 30th of March 2015, the Purple Bombers were officially launched.

Hosted high above Melbourne in the offices of Herbert Smith Freehills at 101 Collins Street, over 150 people including Essendon player Brendon Goddard and Essendon’s CEO, Xavier Campbell, celebrated the birth of the second LGBTI inclusive fan club within AFL footy.

Purple Bombers President, Jason Tuazon-McCheyne gave an impassioned speech about his love of the Essendon Football Club, his experiences of homophobia and his vision of the AFL eventually becoming the national game for all people, equally.
