World AIDS Day 2015: Victorian Minister for Health, the Hon. Jill Hennessy MP

Earlier this morning during the World AIDS Day 2015 launch, The Hon Jill Hennessy the Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services in the Victorian Government addressed those in attendance. The minister entered Victorian Parliament as the Member for Altona District in 2010 and has held a number of shadow ministerial roles before 2014, including Public Transport, Anti-Corruption, Corrections, Crime Prevention and Women.

Jill holds a Masters of Public and International Law, a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts. She is a former board member of Western Health, Western Region Health and former Chair of the Victorian Working Families Council.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the support of all Health Ministers for launching World AIDS Day since 2005.  Their bi-partisan support of World AIDS Day and the HIV sector has been a hallmark in the HIV response.
