True Colours: Stories from the diverse LGBTI multicultural community
The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is colourful on so many levels. Of course there’s the glittering kaleidoscope and pageantry of the parade but – even more so – it provides a platform for individuals to show their true colours – to be out and proud of who of they are, regardless of labels and expectations others may place on them.
These are the people, the stories and the music of the very diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer communities across the globe, originally aired on Mardi Gras weekend in 2017.
In every country and every culture, LGBTI people exist. They may not be heard – indeed they may need to be in hiding – but they are there. And we would like to share some of their voices. Here they are now!
Special thanks go to Matt McDonald of World Wide Wave for the production of this special program and also to Greg Hughes of Adlib to Fade for audio production support.
