IDAHOBIT 2024 – VicHealth Sport participation event

Vicsport in partnership with Swinburne University and VicHealth are hosting the Rainbow Participation in Sport event on International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination (IDAHOBIT).

This event will launch one of the first Australian studies to document participation rates of young LGBTIQA+ people in sport and the prevalence of discrimination across sport and movement settings.

The research team will be sharing the findings and guest panellists will be sharing their personal experiences and thoughts on how sport and society can improve their practices to be more welcoming for the Rainbow community.

Andy Brennan is a South Melbourne Football Club player, Provisional Psychologist and is one of the three panellists.  Andy joins Warren in the JOY Drive studio.

Presenter:  Warren Andrew
