Unfortunately we can’t stop the ageing process and there will come a time when we need extra care – it might be in an aged care or palliative care facility.
If you listen to media reports, there are some awful stories of how older people are treated whilst in the care of some providers.
Add to this the fear of being discriminated against based on your body, sexual orientation or gender – the thought of needing care can strike fear into many of us.
