There are a lot of sports across Australia and the world making huge advances in creating a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for LGBTQIA+ athletes to compete however the World Surf League is not one of them based on the recently released 2025 tour schedule. The second event of the 11-stop tour is being held in Abu Dhabi in February next year – a country where homosexuality is a crime.
