NB: Since the publishing of this podcast, the Federal Government has changed their position.

The Federal Government has decided not to add additional questions to the 2026 census including one on sexuality – this is despite extensive community consultation.  The acting prime minister Richard Marles says the government wants to avoid ‘divisive’ debates.
