Dr Jamie Mackenzie: Cyclists and sharing the roads

Cyclists are some of the most vulnerable when it comes to sharing the road. Around the world, more than 40,000 cyclists are killed in crashes every year—and in most of those crashes, it is the driver who is at fault.

So what’s going on? Why do so many drivers fail to see cyclists until too late? And what needs to change so everyone can feel safe getting from A to B?

Guest: Dr Jamie Mackenzie, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Automotive Safety Research at the University of Adelaide

Presenter: Warren Andrew
