A search engine and some curiosity are a potent combination.

Ever wondered what the ESC looked like back in the day when telly was in colour, but often still in monochrome ?

Well, here’s a mini documentary on the year RTE & Ireland hosted the event for the first time.

It’s 1971 and the word is gaiety !
