Croatia shows klapa works in English
The Croatian lads who make up Klapa s mora entertained the press after their second dress rehearsal with a rendition of their song in English.
Translated to Hard Times, they showed that klapa works just as well in English as it does in Croatian. The group also revealed the importance of their costuming for their presentation.
Only Croatian knights are allowed to wear the ornate uniforms, which have been protected by UNESCO rulings. Klapa s mora are the first non-knights given permission to wear it.
Croatian broadcaster, HRT, also expressed their desire to return to the Dora preselection format, saying there would then be a “bigger chance for lots of artists to … represent their country.”
