France: A Parisian Angell off to Vienna
French broadcaster, France 2, have announced that they have made an internal decision about the artist and song to represent the Big 5 country in the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final.
Lisa Angell has been selected to head to Vienna with a ballad called N’Oubliez Pas (Do Not Forget).
The 46-year-old singer from Paris has released three albums since her debut in 2011. Her 2013 release, Des Mots…, has been her most successful to date, peaking at #30 on the French charts.
Angell’s Eurovision entry was written by Robert Goldman, who is the brother of French singer, Jean-Jacques Goldman. It was first performed at a WW1 commemorative concert in November last year.
This entry comes after France’s last place in 2014. What do you think of it? Is it a winner?
