One of Eurovision’s Big Five has shown their hand already, with TVE announcing that pop singer Edurne has been chosen to represent the country in Vienna.

The 29 year old singer, from Madrid, shot to fame after claiming sixth place on Spanish TV show Operación Triunfo in 2005. Her self-titled debut album from 2006 went gold and has released four other albums since. Edurne’s latest single Painkiller comes from her fifth studio album, Climax, released in 2013. She’s also known as the partner of Man U’s goalkeeper, David De Gea.

TVE has announced that Edurne will be singing Amanecer (Dawn). The song will be sung completely in Spanish, having been composed by Tony Sanchez-Ohlsson. It has been described as “quality pop” and was the reason for Edurne deciding to put her hand up for the big gig in Vienna. The song has also been described as being very Spanish in sound and unlike any other songs from previous entrants.

The song will be released in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy Edurne’s latest single: Painkiller
