Cyprus: Giannis does it
Cyprus has selected its entrant for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, with Giannis Karagiannis getting the nod to go to Vienna.
Karagiannis is a singer from Limassol, who has been performing since the age of 6. He first started singing when he was 8 years old and has won a number of talent contests in Cyprus. Karagiannis co-wrote the winning entry, One Thing That I Should Have Done, with Mike Connaris, who was the writer of the island nation’s 2004 entry, Stronger Every Minute.

Coming second was sexy Cypriot, Panagiotis Koufogiannis, with his Euro ballad, Without Your Love. Koufogiannis’ track was the favourite of the public vote but failed to get the support of the jury.
In third place, and the jury’s pick, was Minus One with Shine. Shine trailed in last place in the public vote.
