Sixteen songs were in the running to win the Big Artists section of the Festival but only three could advance to the superfinal.

Il Volo won the superfinal with their song Grande Amore.

Coming second was Nek with Fatti avanti amore.

In third place was Malika Ayane with Adesso e qui (Nostalgico presente).

Although not the major winner, Nek won an award for best arrangement and the Mia Martini Critics Award went to Malika Ayane.

The group has two tenors, 21-year-old Piero Barone and 20-year-old Ignazio Boschetto, along with 20-year-old baritone Gianluca Ginoble. The released their first album in 2010, peaking at #6 on the Italian charts. The group has also performed on American Idol and in concert with Barbra Streisand.
