Australia: Guy gets the Eurovision gong
Australian multicultural broadcaster, SBS, has just announced Australia’s artist on the steps of the Sydney Opera House.
SBS Managing Director, Michael Ebeid, Blink TV’s Paul Clark, and SBS Eurovision hosts, Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang, revealed that Guy Sebastian will represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final.
The first winner of Australian Idol was chosen to be the first Australian representative. He has released eight albums, all reaching the top ten in Australia and his current album, Madness, was released late last year.
His latest single, Linger, was released in November, ahead of his Australian tour.
The Australian entry is yet to be revealed, though likely to come from Guy’s latest album.
What are your thoughts about Australia’s choice?
