Four-member rock band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (PKN) won the UMK Grand Final with their song Aina mun pitää. The group was formed in 2009 and have released 5 EPs and a studio album since. The four men, who are over 40 years old, met through a workshop for people with learning disabilities and were the subject of a 2012 documentary, called The Punk Syndrome.

Coming second was favourite Satin Circus, with their song Crossroads, getting the top points from the jury. However, with the jury’s points only counting for 10% of the final score, the public overwhelmingly voted for PKN to represent the nation that launched Lordi to the Eurovision world, in Vienna.

Can PKN be as successful as Lordi in 2006?
