The grand affair was slightly different than usual, with an orchestra and no semi-finals. The eleven acts battled for the votes of a jury and the public to be one of the four to get to the Gold Final. Joining Mørland & Debrah Scarlett in the Gold Final were Erlend Bratland with Thunderstruck, Staysman & Lazz with En godt stekt pizza and Tor & Bettan with All Over The World.

The Gold Final was a closely fought affair, with it being decided totally by televotes. Although A Monster Like Me didn’t win the first draw, it just won the Gold Final with 88 869 votes. Coming a close second was Thunderstruck with 85 373 votes.
