The Netherlands go Douwe Bob
Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has announced their participant for Stockholm after weeks of media-fuelled rumours.
Douwe Bob is the first artist to selected for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter rose to fame after winning Dutch reality show De beste singer-songwriter van Nederland in 2012. His winner’s single, Multicoloured Angels, peaked at #17 on the Dutch singles chart.
Earlier this year, Douwe Bob released his second album, Pass It On, which peaked at #1 on the Dutch albums chart. His latest single is a duet with past Dutch participant Anouk.
The up-tempo Dutch song has been already recorded, according to the broadcaster, and will be released in February.
