Australia’s Junior is Bella
On Wednesday, SBS‘s Managing Director, Michael Ebeid, announced that Australia would be participating in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Ebeid shared the news saying,
We’re delighted to have secured another opportunity to showcase Australia’s amazing vocal and song writing talent to the world, this time through an incredibly talented young artist. We look forward to giving Australian audiences a surprise second dose of Eurovision fun this year.
That incredibly talented young artist has now been announced too. The Voice Kids 2014 runner-up, Bella Paige, will be travelling to Sofia for the competition in November.
The 13 year old has been singing since she was six and was the first to audition for The Voice Kids in 2014. Her version of Jennifer Hudson’s And I’m Telling You was a massive hit on the show.
She will be singing My Girls, co-written by Delta Goodrem, song writer and producer Mitch Allan and composer and producer Vince Pizzinga.
Talking about the song, Paige said,
My Girls is an incredible song with a powerful message to all girls. No matter what ups and downs we go through, it is important to stay strong, support each other, believe in yourself, dream big and know you can achieve your goals and dreams.
