Fourteen days have passed and it feels like months have, with all the news that has come around.
Countries are busily selecting their songs for Stockholm, including getting a heap of returning artists to represent their respective countries.
Even the EBU has got into the act, throwing big headlines out about changes to voting for this year.
Keep up to date with everything JOYEurovision and share your own thoughts on social media:
The News
- ZOË is off to Swedish-speaking Stockholm with a French-language song from a German-speaking country.
- Söngvakeppnin has been decided and it’s a flash back to 2012 with Greta Salóme getting the ticket with Hear Them Calling.
- Charlotte Nilsson rips through a bit of Swedish schlager fun at Melfest with Här står jag.
- Out & proud Oscar Zia goes direkt till final with his song Human.
- The voting in the Grand Final should be more exciting now (at least according to SVT) with the changes to jury and televote presentation. Michael’s still unsure about the whole making up of votes though.
- Switzerland is sending Rykka with The Last of Our Kind.
- Poli Genova, fresh from hosting JESC is returning to sing for Bulgaria.
- Sanremo drama abounds with Stadio winning the competition but deciding not to go to Stockholm. Italian pop star Francesca Michielin has accepted the ticket instead.
- You prefer Deen 2016 over Disco Deen.
- Malta‘s changing their colours, just like Ira Losco’s Chameleon, as nine other songs are added to the possible pile.
- Anja Nissen comes second in Melodi Grand Prix, allowing Lighthouse X to be the Danish reps for 2016.
- Finland’s UMK finalists have been decided.
- Ukraine‘s Grand Final is ready to go (even though it’s already happened once you see this).
- Plus all the latest from the UK, Germany, Georgia and Armenia.
- Dannii Minogue has revealed that she won’t be doing X Factor this year, freeing her up for May. Is she an added possibility with Dami Im?
