An update from the Back Seat

Michael hopped in to the Back Seat to drive Melbourne home and took Fiona along for the ride.

Since he hadn’t had a chance to publish a new podcast thanks to the craziness of the Mardi Gras weekend, he decided to take JOYEurovision to Monday Drive.

Michael and Fiona talked all things Eurovision, including:

  • Hungary‘s choice of the very good looking Freddie;
  • ManuElla’s colourful song for Slovenia;
  • How big Norway‘s icebreaker might need to be;
  • A duelling update from Sweden‘s own Melfest, including Fiona’s description of Dolly Style;
  • The Polish spat over Michał Szpak;
  • How Russia is playing the gays;
  • Jüri Pootsmann’s Estonian turtleneck;
  • Petitions in Israel;
  • Michael’s new French husband;
  • The result of UMK; and
  • The announcement of Dami Im as Australia’s Eurovision entrant for 2016 and info about her song.

Plus there were a few of Michael’s favourite national final losers:

Suite 16 – Anna-Lee       Watch on YouTube

Dolly Style – Rollercoaster       Watch on YouTube

Laura – Supersonic       Watch on YouTube

Gušani Brothers – Poom Poom       Watch on YouTube

And something from Australia’s own rep:

Dami Im – Super Love (7th Heaven Radio Edit)       Watch on YouTube
