The three sisters, Lisa, Amy and Shelley Vol, are not new to Eurovision. In 2007, they represented The Netherlands as Lisa, Amy & Shelley in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Adem In, Adem Uit. AVROTROS are hoping they can do better than the 11th place from that year.

Two years ago, the sisters appeared on The Voice of Holland after wowing the judges with their rendition of the Bee Gee’s Emotion in the blind audition. They went on to win the series, being the first group to do so in any international version of the show.
Their latest 3rd studio album, We Got This, has peaked at #1 on the Dutch charts after being released in late September, with its lead single Take The Money And Run getting to #130.
The selection of O’G3NE wasn’t a surprise to Dutch media and supporters, but the early timing of it was. The group are excited about the competition, saying
We are looking forward so much to once again represent our country. This is a new highlight in our career and we are going to do everything we can to make our country proud.
It is expected that the song will be released early in 2017.
