🇮🇸 Hands up for Iceland: Previewing Söngvakeppnin 2024

It’s time to wrap things up in Iceland as Söngvakeppnin comes to a close. The Grand Final beams across the world on Saturday 3 March at 8:45pm CET (or 6:45am on Sunday if you’re working with daylight savings on the Aussie east coast). Along with the actual stream via RÚV, the broadcaster is also giving English speakers a chance to enjoy commentary at ruv.is/english

Michael and Io are having their own problems with English (and thinking) as they preview the five songs in the running for a trip to Malmö. While there’s a clear favourite, you can never presume to know what will happen in a Eurovision national final.

How are the bangers affecting Michael?

Why is literal not in Io’s vocabulary?

What should we expect in the super final?
