Spain dances in the rain
The Spanish public has spoken, selecting Ruth Lorenzo to be their representative in Copenhagen with Dancing in the Rain.
Lorenzo was a virtual unknown in Spain, though she was the favourite to win Mira Quién Va A Eurovisión as soon as the final songs were released. As an entrant in X Factor UK in 2008, the singer was mentored by Dannii Minogue and finished in the top 5. The winning song also broke other records, getting to the #1 spot on the iTunes chart a week before the final – a feat that has never been accomplished before.
Lorenzo tied for first place with Brequette after the jury scores and televotes were added together, with Dancing in the Rain winning with the higher number of televotes. Más (Run) is what came second. What do you think?
